Pfaffensprung

Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joao Kappel made the kick off which started today's match. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Matt Kumschick managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joe Sperisen in the 3 minute of the game. Scott Lenzin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Nicolai Gmür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Scott Lenzin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pfaffensprung's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Lenzin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolai Gmür breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Scott Lenzin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Nicolai Gmür. Nicolai Gmür was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's attentive Matt Kumschick managed to snatch the ball when Joe Sperisen made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Yannis Gisler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolai Gmür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joao Kappel in the 19th minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Yannis Gisler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pfaffensprung's Huber Grubenmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Pfaffensprung's Nicolai Gmür threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joao Kappel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Teobaldo Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolai Gmür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joao Kappel in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Yannis Gisler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matt Kumschick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Huber Grubenmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Gmür kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Scott Lenzin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 41st playminute. When 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Yannis Gisler in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pfaffensprung's goalie prevented a goal. Huber Grubenmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yannis Gisler in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yannis Gisler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Scott Lenzin in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolai Gmür prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Sylvain Weiss fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pfaffensprung's protests and gave Sylvain Weiss a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Pfaffensprung:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 1. FC Hombrechtikon:s goal. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for 1. FC Hombrechtikon. Peder Baertschi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Huber Grubenmann. 3-1. Xaver Meyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Huber Grubenmann made a huge save. After 60 played minutes, 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Martial Mastroiacovo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Huber Grubenmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 1. FC Hombrechtikon reached it. Anthony Gmür's late challenge caught a 1. FC Hombrechtikon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Gmür helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Pfaffensprung got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Gmür. If Scott Lenzin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th match minute, 1. FC Hombrechtikon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Kumschick to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match Klaas Sanchen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolai Gmür showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Yannis Gislers short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Huber Grubenmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Xaver Meyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Matt Kumschick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, 1. FC Hombrechtikon's goal looked a bit too open when Joao Kappel came free, but Nicolai Gmür reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by 1. FC Hombrechtikon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Klaas Sanchen was slow to take the kick. During this time Pfaffensprung's players had a chance to rest. When Matt Kumschick fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Hombrechtikon's protests and gave Matt Kumschick a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes 1. FC Hombrechtikon got a freekick which was hit by Matt Kumschick. Joao Kappel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nicolai Gmür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolai Gmür showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joao Kappel in the 85th minute of the match. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Matt Kumschick got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Matt Kumschick off the ground. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Matt Kumschick got a free kick in the 88th minute. Klaas Sanchen, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Pfaffensprung players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
