Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manuel Herzog kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Werthenstein SC's Reto Unger got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, FC STECKBORN's goal looked a bit too open when Jonah Lisibach came free, but Mathieu Schwander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathieu Schwander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Burri, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 16 minutes into the match, FC STECKBORN's goal looked a bit too open when Jonah Lisibach came free, but Mathieu Schwander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gianluca Burri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Burri in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathieu Schwander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, FC STECKBORN's Michael Fah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernhard Pohland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gianluca Burri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathieu Schwander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jonah Lisibach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werthenstein SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonah Lisibach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieu Schwander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Gianluca Burri notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC STECKBORN's Mathieu Schwander. Mathieu Schwander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Bernhard Pohland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Herzog in the 51st minute of play. Bernhard Pohland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Fah went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Jonah Lisibach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu Schwander having to interfere. The supporters of FC STECKBORN booed when Werthenstein SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickey Hager didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Werthenstein SC's zone, Manuel Herzog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernhard Pohland came out of the goal and Manuel Herzog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Michael Fah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhard Pohland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Bögli charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jakob Bögli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC STECKBORN getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jakob Bögli hit a great ball. Mathieu Schwander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Burri in the 69th minute of play. Bernhard Pohland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Herzog in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Werthenstein SC booed when FC STECKBORN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Bögli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th match minute Mickey Hager ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Mathieu Schwander. 3-2. When Michael Fah came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC STECKBORN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Fah couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Fah in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernhard Pohland saved Werthenstein SC from getting behind. Manuel Herzog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Fah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernhard Pohland having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC STECKBORN had won after a very even match.
