FC STECKBORN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Fah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Michael Fah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Huber Grubenmann. Pfaffensprung's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Fah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC STECKBORN's Mathieu Schwander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Lenzin in the 12th minute of play. If Michael Fah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16thth minute of the game Manuel Herzog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pfaffensprung's Huber Grubenmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Pier Giger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Manuel Herzog came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC STECKBORN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Herzog couldn't finish the play. Joao Kappel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu Schwander having to interfere. Frankie Massey charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frankie Massey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pfaffensprung's Scott Lenzin got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Michael Fah came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FC STECKBORN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Fah couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Herzog in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huber Grubenmann saved Pfaffensprung from getting behind. Mathieu Schwander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joao Kappel in the 39th minute of play. Mathieu Schwander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joao Kappel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Pfaffensprung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argus Fassbind to maneuver through the defense. After 53 minutes, Argus Fassbind mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pfaffensprung and the FC STECKBORN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pfaffensprung's Argus Fassbind got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Michael Fah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davide Bütler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Huber Grubenmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pfaffensprung's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Lenzin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieu Schwander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC STECKBORN booed when Pfaffensprung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Weiss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Richli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Huber Grubenmann. Pfaffensprung's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
