An unexpectedly hard shot by Gereon Ramseier in the 11th minute of play forced Knurzel's goalkeeper Ron Buttliger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Hamilton Martinelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ron Buttliger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Knurzel's goal looked a bit too open when Gereon Ramseier came free, but Ron Buttliger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Knurzel's Clement Setz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Renkewitz's late challenge caught a Knurzel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Renkewitz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Villigen getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hugo Renkewitz hit a great ball. Clement Setz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Gereon Ramseier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gereon Ramseier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Buttliger having to interfere. Boris Lepre charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Lepre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 43 minutes into the game, one of Villigen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Rachid Wasser might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugh Keiser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 72nd minute, Hamilton Martinelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, one of Knurzel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Villigen's Boris Lepre got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ron Buttliger. Gereon Ramseier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clement Setz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Villigen's Hamilton Martinelli got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
