Ziegelbrücke's supporters rose to their feet, but Gauthier Trierweiler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Ehrlichmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reik Wiler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Daniel Ehrlichmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kickers Luzern's Johnny Högger got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Kickers Luzern's goal looked a bit too open when Gauthier Trierweiler came free, but Daniel Ehrlichmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liborius Braun kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Thomas Herger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Ehrlichmann having to make a save. Daniel Ehrlichmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gauthier Trierweiler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Leif Borer rounded Ziegelbrücke's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Kickers Luzern's Daniel Ehrlichmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Henzmann in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fred-Marc Iosif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Bollhalder in the 52nd minute of play. Manolo Bollhalder succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Ziegelbrücke's attentive Benno Hüsler managed to snatch the ball when Dirk Renggli made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the game, Carlo Zuber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fred-Marc Iosif was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 minutes of play, Kickers Luzern's Manolo Bollhalder made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred-Marc Iosif was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred-Marc Iosif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Högger in the 68th minute of the match. Gauthier Trierweiler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Daniel Ehrlichmann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 78th play minutes Gauthier Trierweiler shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Daniel Ehrlichmann and just under the crossbar into goal. After 82 minutes, Reik Wiler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ziegelbrücke and the Kickers Luzern players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ziegelbrücke's Reik Wiler got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gauthier Trierweiler struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Daniel Ehrlichmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ziegelbrücke. Gauthier Trierweiler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Ehrlichmann having to interfere. Gauthier Trierweiler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Daniel Ehrlichmann made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Kickers Luzern's zone, Reik Wiler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Ehrlichmann came out of the goal and Reik Wiler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Ziegelbrücke defense, Johnny Högger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred-Marc Iosif. The Ziegelbrücke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred-Marc Iosif should have stopped the shot. Kickers Luzern were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ziegelbrücke for a fine match.
