After a defensive mix-up in Luziensteigs's zone, Anselm Wollstadt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fridolin Schmitt came out of the goal and Anselm Wollstadt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Claudio Nazzari made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Eschlikon's Rodrique Ludwig tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Nazzari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Eschlikon booed when Luziensteigs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arndt Verreau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th play minute Anselm Wollstadt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fridolin Schmitt. 1-1. Fridolin Schmitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colin Hébert in the 33rd minute. The supporters of FC Eschlikon booed when Luziensteigs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arndt Verreau didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Anselm Wollstadt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselm Wollstadt had several of the Luziensteigs's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Fridolin Schmitt as he didn't even see the shot coming. Anselm Wollstadt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselm Wollstadt hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Colin Hébert to strike the kick off in the second half. Heinz Albbrecht struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Rodrique Ludwig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luziensteigs. When Giancarlo Naumann fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luziensteigs's protests and gave Giancarlo Naumann a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Eschlikon booed when Luziensteigs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giancarlo Naumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrique Ludwig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinz Albbrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 70th minute Heinz Albbrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrique Ludwig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselm Wollstadt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Clinton Steinemann. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heinz Albbrecht in the 79th minute of play forced FC Eschlikon's goalkeeper Rodrique Ludwig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colin Hébert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Eschlikon's Anselm Wollstadt got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Luziensteigs's Heinz Albbrecht sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrique Ludwig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudio Nazzari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rodrique Ludwig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Eschlikon fans cheered their team off the field, for while Luziensteigs had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
