Claudio Nazzari kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, one of Ziegelbrücke:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arndt Verreau charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Ziegelbrücke fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Ziegelbrücke's Gauthier Trierweiler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fred-Marc Iosif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinz Albbrecht in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heinz Albbrecht to make the kick off. Fred-Marc Iosif made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Claudio Nazzari sent off a good shot on target. Ziegelbrücke's Gauthier Trierweiler got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ziegelbrücke booed when Luziensteigs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heinz Albbrecht didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ziegelbrücke fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Ziegelbrücke's Gauthier Trierweiler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gauthier Trierweiler in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fridolin Schmitt saved Luziensteigs from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gauthier Trierweiler in the 90th minute of play forced Luziensteigs's goalkeeper Fridolin Schmitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gauthier Trierweiler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fridolin Schmitt having to interfere. Ziegelbrücke's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
