With an extended leg and a bit of luck Randy Wasser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garnier Baumgartner in the 40th minute of play forced Gampel's goalkeeper Randy Wasser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Bergmann got free with Randy Wasser in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 minutes of play, FC Rossetti 2024's Vito Bergmann made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randy Wasser was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Vito Bergmann came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FC Rossetti 2024 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Bergmann couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
