When Placide Kümin fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lenk's protests and gave Placide Kümin a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Winikon's Raphael Massey got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nino Gruenenfelder. 2-0 became the score in the 8th minute when Berthold Winkel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emil Rothenberger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nino Gruenenfelder having to make a save. Berthold Winkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nino Gruenenfelder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Mauritius Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Berthold Winkel could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Nino Gruenenfelder however easily saved by the left post. In the 24th minute, Joerg Karlen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lenk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Joerg Karlen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Oliver Pfulg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Lejeune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephan Lejeune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joerg Karlen in the 38th minute of play. Berthold Winkel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Nino Gruenenfelder made a huge save. Emil Rothenberger's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nino Gruenenfelder firmly grabbed it by the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lenk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Winikon a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrad Beller was the one to do the kick off. Nino Gruenenfelder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefano Stempfel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lenk's Nino Gruenenfelder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conan Elisabeth in the 85th minute of play. Nino Gruenenfelder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefano Stempfel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stefano Stempfel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winikon's Mauritius Beckenbauer suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 95th minute, Oliver Pfulg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Lenk's goal looked a bit too open when Stefano Stempfel came free, but Nino Gruenenfelder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
