In the 17th minute, Phil Castelletti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jiri Wemelinger fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irgenhausen's protests and gave Jiri Wemelinger a yellow card for diving instead. Jiri Wemelinger hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Endrik Vonarburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irgenhausen's Leonhard Zweifel got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jeff Olivieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dielsdorf AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Olivieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Palluzzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phil Castelletti to strike the kick off in the second half. Jean Palluzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Kappel, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Jiri Wemelinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irgenhausen's Jean Palluzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Olivieri in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Ramon Suter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonhard Zweifel in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sean Rüdemann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Dielsdorf AC booed when Irgenhausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Lukas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Jeff Olivieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean Palluzzi. Irgenhausen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeff Olivieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 76th minute, one of Dielsdorf AC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dielsdorf AC. Sean Rüdemann went to the wrong direction when Fabio Steinemann was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Irgenhausen's Phil Castelletti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sean Rüdemann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lukas Apicella took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean Palluzzi. Irgenhausen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeff Olivieri struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jean Palluzzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dielsdorf AC. Irgenhausen's Leonhard Zweifel got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Dielsdorf AC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Germano Hellmüller hit a great ball.
