Ernst Ottenin-Girard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, FC Winznau's goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Ritter came free, but Robin Beike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Beike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Balmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Winznau's Robin Beike got control of the ball when Kuno Ostermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Beckenbauer in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Beike saved FC Winznau from getting behind. Robin Beike showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrit Aebli, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Ritter in the 58th minute of play forced FC Winznau's goalkeeper Robin Beike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Winznau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Füchse FC the free kick. After 80 played minutes FC Winznau got a freekick which was hit by Baruch Kündig.
