FC Glarus's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Enrique Parizeau 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If LLoyd Stübi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Parizeau in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leopoldo Zihler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. LLoyd Stübi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herald Hengemühl having to interfere. Jakob Di Luca took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Zihler. Leopoldo Zihler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 30th minute, LLoyd Stübi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simjon Gruenigen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Enrique Parizeau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yggdrasil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Parizeau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, FC Glarus's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Parizeau came free, but Leopoldo Zihler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Parizeau made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Di Luca in the 59th minute of play forced FC Glarus's goalkeeper Leopoldo Zihler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yggdrasil's Herald Hengemühl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Yggdrasil from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Zihler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Parizeau went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Rainer Cinq-Mars hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, one of Yggdrasil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yggdrasil. Enrique Parizeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Zihler having to interfere. If Enrique Parizeau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Yggdrasil fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Yggdrasil's Jakob Di Luca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If LLoyd Stübi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Gaetano Gour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Glarus and the Yggdrasil players grew even worse after the yellow card. 96 minutes into the match, Jakob Di Luca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Zihler. FC Glarus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakob Di Luca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Yggdrasil were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Glarus for a fine match.
