When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sauveur Busch sped through FC Glarus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Zihler. 24 minutes into the game, Sauveur Busch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Leopoldo Zihler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute, Pitt Conte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester City 2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Silverius Wehrli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manchester City 2's Sauveur Busch got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Glarus booed when Manchester City 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Forcucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Zihler came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City 2's Ruiz Tittone. But to his dismay, Ruiz Tittone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The FC Glarus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manchester City 2 were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for LLoyd Stübi to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC Glarus's Leopoldo Zihler got control of the ball when Silverius Wehrli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Sauveur Busch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester City 2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in FC Glarus's zone, Raffaelo Schweizer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Zihler came out of the goal and Raffaelo Schweizer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the game, Sauveur Busch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Leopoldo Zihler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leopoldo Zihler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pitt Conte in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Sauveur Busch could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Leopoldo Zihler however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Manchester City 2's Andreas Forcucci got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Silverius Wehrli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sauveur Busch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Zihler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. LLoyd Stübi might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenz Zettel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. LLoyd Stübi ran back to his position shaking his head.
