Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) AC Bilano-Arco's Hanley Märki started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes FC Glarus got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Hunziker. Hanley Märki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Zihler having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, FC Glarus's goalkeeper Leopoldo Zihler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lazarus Decimo. Leopoldo Zihler made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lazarus Decimo sent off a good shot on target. When Hanley Märki came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the AC Bilano-Arco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hanley Märki couldn't finish the play. After having played for 24 minutes, Hanley Märki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Bilano-Arco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hanley Märki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AC Bilano-Arco's Maik Gruenigen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by LLoyd Stübi in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Hanley Märki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Bilano-Arco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hanley Märki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, AC Bilano-Arco's Howard Jost got a free kick in the 38th minute. Leopoldo Zihler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Strauss in the 40th minute of play. FC Glarus's Leopoldo Zihler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save FC Glarus from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when LLoyd Stübi made the kick off in the second half. Hanley Märki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo Zihler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Lazarus Decimo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Leopoldo Zihler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Bilano-Arco. Alex Amberg kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lazarus Decimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Glarus's Graham Gervasi got a free kick in the 67th minute. Leopoldo Zihler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lazarus Decimo in the 74th minute of play. Hanley Märki struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Leopoldo Zihler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Bilano-Arco. Maik Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from LLoyd Stübi in the 85th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, LLoyd Stübi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maik Gruenigen, 0-1. Leopoldo Zihler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanley Märki, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AC Bilano-Arco lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
