Pier Lauzier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Wexler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reno Guibord during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andre Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Pier Lauzier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, FC Oberwil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Bonato to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Oberwil booed when kingzz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reiner Hollenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willy Bragger was the one to do the kick off. Janis Bärtschi made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bruce Bächler however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Romano Imbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Oberwil's supporters rose to their feet, but Romano Imbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joao Lugg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
