Spectators: 8445 (Terracing: 6335, Seating: 1942, VIP seats: 168) FC Zürich's Jared Labrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Nussbaum in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Roland Hunkeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxime Geisseler charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxime Geisseler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodolphe Rochat took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jared Labrie. Jared Labrie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Gunt's Roland Hunkeler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jared Labrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Zürich's Thoralf Betz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Quintinus Freeh. That made the score 1-2 after 15 minutes of play. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Nussbaum in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxime Geisseler got free with Quintinus Freeh in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Maxime Geisseler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jared Labrie came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Gunt's Nicola Diederich. But to his dismay, Nicola Diederich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 32nd match minute, FC Zürich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Rothschild to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zürich's zone, Geraldo Nussbaum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jared Labrie came out of the goal and Geraldo Nussbaum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Nicola Diederich came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Roland Hunkeler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Geraldo Nussbaum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudius Wiesi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Geraldo Nussbaum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Nicola Diederich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Gunt were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geraldo Nussbaum made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Nussbaum came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Hunkeler in the 54th minute of play forced FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudius Wiesi's late challenge caught a Gunt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudius Wiesi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Zürich's Claudius Wiesi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Hunkeler, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jared Labrie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Hunkeler in the 62nd minute. Roman Faber kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicola Diederich. In the 68th minute Maxime Geisseler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintinus Freeh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Remo Rusterholz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Nussbaum in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Zürich's Jared Labrie got control of the ball when Rodolphe Rochat tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute Geraldo Nussbaum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes FC Zürich got a freekick which was hit by Claudius Wiesi. With a little luck, FC Zürich's Jared Labrie got control of the ball when Rodolphe Rochat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jared Labrie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignaz Schwaller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Roland Hunkeler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jared Labrie. That made the score 2-6 in the 90 minute of play. FC Zürich's Jared Labrie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Zürich from getting a goal against them. The FC Zürich fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gunt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
