Spectators: 8457 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thoralf Betz started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FC Zürich getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Daniel Guibord hit a great ball. The Lugano fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Lugano's Bruno Guimarães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patrizio Huber's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jared Labrie firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Zürich's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Kuncho Glavchev scored to the left of an out of position Jared Labrie, making the score, 2-0. Jared Labrie didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Jared Labrie came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Lugano's Bruno Guimarães. But to his dismay, Bruno Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jared Labrie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Guimarães went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Guimarães. In the 25th minute Kuncho Glavchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Guimarães came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jared Labrie could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Kuncho Glavchev put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jared Labrie. 38 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Kuncho Glavchev came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Zürich's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kuncho Glavchev 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 9-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 10-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Guimarães to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Kuncho Glavchev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Jared Labrie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jared Labrie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugano. 57 minutes into the game, Lugano's Kuncho Glavchev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jared Labrie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. 60 minutes into the match, Blair Yeats had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jared Labrie. FC Zürich's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blair Yeats was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. 63 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Kuncho Glavchev came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Patrizio Huber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jared Labrie was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. Kuncho Glavchev scored 15-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jared Labrie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodor Castelletti in the 77th minute of play. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falco Klein, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Bruno Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Jared Labrie. FC Zürich's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 17-0. The supporters of Lugano booed when FC Zürich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thoralf Betz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Blair Yeats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Blair Yeats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jared Labrie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jared Labrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuncho Glavchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the FC Zürich defense, Bruno Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jared Labrie. The FC Zürich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jared Labrie should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Patrizio Huber came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Kuncho Glavchev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 20-0. Jared Labrie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lugano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
