Giusto Gut made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernestin Brünisholz in the 10th minute of play forced Safenwil AC's goalkeeper Giusto Gut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Gregory Hubli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giusto Gut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Safenwil AC's Elmar Renkewitz got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes of play, Brenles FC's Ernestin Brünisholz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giusto Gut was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the game, Servatius Dové was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Safenwil AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brenles FC the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Safenwil AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Servatius Dové to maneuver through the defense. Giusto Gut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Hubli, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Safenwil AC booed when Brenles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murathan Baransel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Brenles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Camiscia to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Safenwil AC's Stig Fruehauf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norbert Furst. Norbert Furst yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After the first half Brenles FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gregory Hubli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Safenwil AC's Giusto Gut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregory Hubli in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Hans Camiscia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Safenwil AC's Felix Isaak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 82nd minute, Ernestin Brünisholz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giusto Gut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Hubli, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Korbin Spörri hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Hubli in the 96th minute of play forced Safenwil AC's goalkeeper Giusto Gut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Safenwil AC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brenles FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
