Robby Schaer struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Juergen Lange didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berne Wanderers FC. Robby Schaer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Berne Wanderers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sinclair Angelici came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robby Schaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juergen Lange having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goalkeeper Juergen Lange had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Schaer. Berne Wanderers FC's Robby Schaer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sinclair Angelici in the 44th minute of the match. Benjy Gosselin kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, one of Berne Wanderers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Berne Wanderers FC. Nikolai Zettel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

The wind increased when Cedric Sprecher made the kick off in the second half. If Andy Held had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 57 minutes, Robby Schaer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berne Wanderers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robby Schaer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sinclair Angelici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cláudio Taffarel made a huge save. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janning Knechtli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robby Schaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juergen Lange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Held in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Berne Wanderers FC were awarded a corner. Clayton Helmholz went to the cornerflag to take it. Berne Wanderers FC's Gautier Freuler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juergen Lange in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Cláudio Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Black Jack's zone, Andy Held stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juergen Lange came out of the goal and Andy Held tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andy Held took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juergen Lange. Juergen Lange dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 87th minute, Robby Schaer made a precise shot to the right of Juergen Lange. Black Jack's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When Robby Schaer came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Berne Wanderers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robby Schaer couldn't finish the play. 99 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Held came free, but Juergen Lange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juergen Lange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robby Schaer, who was totally free with the ball in the 102nd minute. Berne Wanderers FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Black Jack for a fine match.
