But to his dismay, Andre Despland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Flemming Cavegn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvatore Ruano, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Andre Despland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Serge Frei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Serge Frei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Despland, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 18th minute, Eduard Gschwind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andre Desplands short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Serge Frei to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Steinmann charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Steinmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gucci United's Andre Despland got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Despland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serge Frei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Despland's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, FC Volketswil's Daniele Roy got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Serge Frei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Beich, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Fidelis Greub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gucci United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Volketswil the free kick. A collision led to Gucci United getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flemming Cavegn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Noel Beich struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Serge Frei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gucci United. When Eduard Gschwind fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Volketswil's protests and gave Eduard Gschwind a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Volketswil getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Eduard Gschwind hit a great ball. After 67 minutes, Daniele Roy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Volketswil and the Gucci United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gucci United booed when FC Volketswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Roy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Noel Beich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Volketswil's Serge Frei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Andre Despland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serge Frei was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Noel Beich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serge Frei didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gucci United's Andre Despland shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 85 minutes into the game, Noel Beich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
