Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfonso De Grandis started the match with the kick off. In the 9th match minute, Hauterize SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiore Gour to maneuver through the defense. Chuck Bur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Cicchetti having to interfere. In the 17th minute of the match, Evelio Sotero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yvan Cicchetti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Hauterize SC booed when Cuba Libre Basel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferris Vonlanthen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Hauterize SC's Fiore Gour tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 23rdth minute of the game Eleasar Lanbrigger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuba Libre Basel's Yvan Cicchetti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Evelio Sotero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Cicchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yvan Cicchetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chuck Bur, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Urban Plouffe's late challenge caught a Hauterize SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urban Plouffe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cuba Libre Basel getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Urban Plouffe hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hauterize SC's Chuck Bur slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yvan Cicchetti. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cuba Libre Basel's zone, Eleasar Lanbrigger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yvan Cicchetti came out of the goal and Eleasar Lanbrigger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reto Kumschick took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yvan Cicchetti. Cuba Libre Basel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chuck Bur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Cicchetti having to interfere. In the 38th minute Chuck Bur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Cicchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleasar Lanbrigger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yvan Cicchetti having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleasar Lanbrigger got free with Yvan Cicchetti in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yvan Cicchetti made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Eleasar Lanbrigger sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chuck Bur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Evelio Sotero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hauterize SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chuck Bur in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yvan Cicchetti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eleasar Lanbrigger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleasar Lanbrigger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yvan Cicchetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleasar Lanbrigger in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Cuba Libre Basel booed when Hauterize SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiore Gour didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th match minute, Hauterize SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiore Gour to maneuver through the defense. Eleasar Lanbrigger scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yvan Cicchetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francois Eggenschwiler kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Hannes Bremgartner fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hauterize SC's protests and gave Hannes Bremgartner a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Hauterize SC got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Bremgartner. Hauterize SC's Guido Mächler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Hauterize SC from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Eleasar Lanbrigger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Cicchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Evelio Sotero came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Hauterize SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Sotero couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hauterize SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cuba Libre Basel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
