An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Willimann in the 8th minute of play forced Red-Skorpion's goalkeeper Michael Theiler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Theiler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Willimann in the 10th minute of the match. The throw-in from Joseph Wicky in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Suruç's Francesco Baumeister. Michael Theiler made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Julius Willimann sent off a good shot on target. Maximilien Siedler charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximilien Siedler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Suruç got a freekick which was hit by Maximilien Siedler. Michael Theiler made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Julius Willimann sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Suruç's Julius Willimann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michael Theiler. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 24th minute, Jordano Laberge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Geoff Schwarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Rast saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Suruç's Michael Theiler threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dominique Lischer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nikolaus Bianco hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maximilien Siedler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Michael Theiler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximilien Siedler spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Red-Skorpion's goal. Michael Theiler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Willimann in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Suruç's goal looked a bit too open when Geoff Schwarz came free, but Nils Rast reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Maximilien Siedler made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Suruç got a freekick which was hit by Julius Willimann. The supporters of Red-Skorpion booed when Suruç was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilien Siedler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jordano Laberge hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Julius Willimann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Theiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red-Skorpion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suruç the free kick. After 96 minutes, Timoteo Bouchard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red-Skorpion and the Suruç players grew even worse after the yellow card. Michael Theiler had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Cyril Lüpold's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. There was no doubt that Suruç were the better team. Suruç's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
