Spectators: 8541 (Terracing: 6407, Seating: 1964, VIP seats: 170) Fischverband Ostschweiz's Matthew Frutig started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matthew Frutig scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Theiler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthew Frutig in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Theiler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the game, Matthew Frutig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Michael Theiler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Matthew Frutig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Theiler was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Michael Theiler came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Fischverband Ostschweiz's Andre Giacomini. But to his dismay, Andre Giacomini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Michael Theiler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Højlund in the 21st minute of play. Fischverband Ostschweiz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Timofej Felder in the 23rd minute. The corner led Fischverband Ostschweiz's Timofej Felder to fire away a dangerous shot which Michael Theiler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 23 played minutes Red-Skorpion got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Wicky. Andre Giacomini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 minutes of play, Fischverband Ostschweiz's Matthew Frutig made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Theiler was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rdth minute of the game Matthew Frutig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red-Skorpion's Michael Theiler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Andre Giacomini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Theiler. Red-Skorpion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andre Giacomini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Fischverband Ostschweiz were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geoff Schwarz was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timoteo Bouchard during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Red-Skorpion getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Timoteo Bouchard hit a great ball. Red-Skorpion's Michael Theiler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Giacomini in the 53rd minute of play. In the 60th minute, Matthew Frutig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Theiler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 64thth minute of the game Andre Giacomini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red-Skorpion's Michael Theiler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rasmus Højlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Theiler having to interfere. Niels Witschi kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Matthew Frutig's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michael Theiler firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 71st minute Andre Giacomini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Theiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes, Francesco Schüepp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red-Skorpion and the Fischverband Ostschweiz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Michael Theiler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Giacomini in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niels Witschi during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Red-Skorpion's Niels Witschi got a free kick in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Fischverband Ostschweiz's goal looked a bit too open when Geoff Schwarz came free, but Grayson Gruenigen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fischverband Ostschweiz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
