Friedel Aschwanden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico Gruenewald went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Damian Wills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Damian Wills came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Aus Ende Vorbei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Wills couldn't finish the play. Aus Ende Vorbei were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after 1. FC Union Weberei's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Pfenniger took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Aus Ende Vorbei's Jürgen Rondinelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heiner Studer. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bonifatius Scarano made the kick off in the second half. Giuliano Baumann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Friedel Aschwanden made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Scenna in the 56th minute of play forced 1. FC Union Weberei's goalkeeper Heiner Studer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casimir Wickihalter in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jürgen Rondinelli in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heiner Studer saved 1. FC Union Weberei from getting behind. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by 1. FC Union Weberei's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Pfenniger was slow to take the kick. During this time Aus Ende Vorbei's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Aus Ende Vorbei's Abraham Pfenniger to fire away a dangerous shot which Heiner Studer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
