The supporters of Axenstein booed when Uebeschi Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Ragnar Lodbrok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Yakovlev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Rüdy in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ragnar Lodbrok in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislav Yakovlev saved Uebeschi Rangers from getting behind. Benedetto Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Michele Rieger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Uebeschi Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Lodbrok came free, but Stanislav Yakovlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Axenstein's zone, Benedetto Louis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michele Rieger came out of the goal and Benedetto Louis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanislav Yakovlev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Lodbrok in the 23rd minute of play. Uebeschi Rangers's Metin Kayaalp got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Bumba in the 25th minute of play forced Uebeschi Rangers's goalkeeper Stanislav Yakovlev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Metin Kayaalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Michele Rieger made a huge save. The corner ended in Ole Grotto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Axenstein's Michele Rieger did a great save. In the 29th minute Claudiu Bumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Yakovlev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bodo Oster in the 31st minute of play forced Uebeschi Rangers's goalkeeper Stanislav Yakovlev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axenstein's Bodo Oster was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stanislav Yakovlev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Axenstein's Joshua Kimmich got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Rüdy in the 42nd minute of play. Stanislav Yakovlev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bodo Oster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marino Rüdy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Claudiu Bumba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axenstein's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uebeschi Rangers the free kick. After 55 played minutes Axenstein got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Bumba. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marino Rüdy in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michele Rieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Claudiu Bumba came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Axenstein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Bumba couldn't finish the play. Janusz Skaradowski charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
