Spectators: 8860 (Terracing: 6750, Seating: 1930, VIP seats: 180) Uebeschi Rangers's Benedetto Louis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Friedel Aschwanden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedetto Louis in the 7th minute of play. When Uebeschi Rangers's Metin Kayaalp in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Jürgen Rondinelli took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Stanislav Yakovlev to make any attempt to save it. Stanislav Yakovlev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gordon Scenna's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Uebeschi Rangers's Stanislav Yakovlev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Uebeschi Rangers from getting a goal against them. If Metin Kayaalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Metin Kayaalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Friedel Aschwanden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Jürgen Rondinelli in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanislav Yakovlev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 33 minutes into the match, Uebeschi Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Scenna came free, but Stanislav Yakovlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marino Rüdy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Benedetto Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Friedel Aschwanden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Benedetto Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uebeschi Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedetto Louis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Wills made a kick off. A collision led to Aus Ende Vorbei getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luca Kopp hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Metin Kayaalp in the 54th minute of play forced Aus Ende Vorbei's goalkeeper Friedel Aschwanden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Friedel Aschwanden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Metin Kayaalp in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Metin Kayaalp in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Friedel Aschwanden saved Aus Ende Vorbei from getting behind. In the 69th minute Damian Wills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Yakovlev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domenico Verna hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Uebeschi Rangers's Dan Piț was substituted for Benedetto Louis. In the 73rd match minute, Aus Ende Vorbei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Verna to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Gordon Scenna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Yakovlev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor Sundén kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Uebeschi Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Tor Sundén. Gordon Scenna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Jürgen Rondinelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislav Yakovlev was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Metin Kayaalp in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Friedel Aschwanden saved Aus Ende Vorbei from getting behind. In the 88th minute Metin Kayaalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Friedel Aschwanden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Uebeschi Rangers's Marino Rüdy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 94th minute, Farid Sommerhalder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uebeschi Rangers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
