A collision led to Ticino Patriots getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Kauã Paes hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Ticino Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Zacharek to maneuver through the defense. A well-hit corner resulted in Simon Kohler heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simone Menz got free with Roth Sommer in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on THE MANIACS 1987's corner Simon Kohler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roth Sommer quite easily take care of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, THE MANIACS 1987's Boris Provoost nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roth Sommer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Boris Provoost was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. THE MANIACS 1987's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ticino Patriots's Roth Sommer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ticino Patriots from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the game, THE MANIACS 1987's Boris Provoost nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roth Sommer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Boris Provoost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Boris Provoost might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roth Sommer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boris Provoost ran back to his position shaking his head. THE MANIACS 1987's Olof Bolla quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cedric Gauch, made in the 55th minute of the game. THE MANIACS 1987 made a substitution. Paulo Savion replaced Simon Kohler. Renatus Bolduc hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Boris Provoost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simone Menz took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roth Sommer. Roth Sommer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Roth Sommer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vittoriano Nacht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Battisti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roth Sommer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Provoost in the 84th minute of play forced Ticino Patriots's goalkeeper Roth Sommer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roth Sommer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simone Menz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When the referee ended the match the THE MANIACS 1987 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
