Manol Skarlatov was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Pier Meyer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. In the 26th minute Frank Thorwart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manol Skarlatov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind ARAPONGAS's goalkeeper Manol Skarlatov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manol Skarlatov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Thorwart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nils-Emil Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Doctor Lorenz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manol Skarlatov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mike Robert to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pier Meyer in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manol Skarlatov saved ARAPONGAS from getting behind. In the 52nd minute of the match ☠ Metal Militia ☠ got a corner. ARAPONGAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pier Meyer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Frank Thorwart almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ARAPONGAS's Manol Skarlatov did a great save. If Doctor Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Nils-Emil Blomkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manol Skarlatov was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Glenn Danzig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Robert, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Benedetto Gianico charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
