Khvicha Kvaratskhelia might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sepp Mainville. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ran back to his position shaking his head. Beat Leutwyler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilles Clerc in the 16th minute. Sepp Mainville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Lizbeth in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zelg FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lázaro Lizbeth was slow to take the kick. During this time B68 Toftir's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Vázquez advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Jonas Herz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beat Leutwyler was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Gilles Clerc took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Beat Leutwyler to make any attempt to save it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beat Leutwyler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Zelg FC's Jonas Herz in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye B68 Toftir's goalie prevented a goal. Beat Leutwyler made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gilles Clerc sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Gilles Clerc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Herz got free with Beat Leutwyler in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Vázquez in the 39th minute of play. Gilles Clerc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Beat Leutwyler made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Herz came free, but Beat Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Lizbeth went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Lázaro Lizbeth got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sepp Mainville quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Luis Vázquez sped through Zelg FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sepp Mainville. The Zelg FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. B68 Toftir were winning 1-2.

In the 52nd minute, Maximino Goi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sepp Mainville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cristi Floricel, made in the 58th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Irwin Monney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beat Leutwyler. B68 Toftir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irwin Monney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jonas Herz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but B68 Toftir's Beat Leutwyler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Herz in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beat Leutwyler saved B68 Toftir from getting behind. In the 66th minute Gilles Clerc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beat Leutwyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Stephan Eichenberger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Khvicha Kvaratskhelias short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Sepp Mainville to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in B68 Toftir's zone, Irwin Monney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beat Leutwyler came out of the goal and Irwin Monney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jonas Herz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Herz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beat Leutwyler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beat Leutwyler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irwin Monney, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Beat Leutwyler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sepp Mainville made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Bengt-Arne Blomberg sent off a good shot on target. After 86 minutes Zelg FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lázaro Lizbeth who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on B68 Toftir's corner Lázaro Lizbeth fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sepp Mainville quite easily take care of the ball. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristi Floricel made in the 97th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger. For all the effort they put into the match, the B68 Toftir players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zelg FC.
