An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilles Clerc in the 8th minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Hieronymus Gilardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, FC Thierachern's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Herz came free, but Hieronymus Gilardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Herz in the 17th minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Hieronymus Gilardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Makaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sepp Mainville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. When Pavel Ghițescu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC Thierachern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Ghițescu couldn't finish the play. Pancho Jeanneret made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zelg FC's Jan Giacomozzi. Jonas Herz might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hieronymus Gilardi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Herz ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Thierachern made a substitution. Marc Berthod replaced Pancho Jeanneret. Hieronymus Gilardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serge Tomasini in the 46th minute of the match. The FC Thierachern players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zelg FC were winning 0-1.

When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Amado Makaus put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sepp Mainville. Hieronymus Gilardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Herz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Makaus in the 74th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Ghițescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sepp Mainville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Hieronymus Gilardi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Zelg FC's Jonas Herz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hieronymus Gilardi. That made the score 1-2 after 82 minutes of play. Hieronymus Gilardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Herz's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The throw-in from Gabriel Peter in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zelg FC's Jan Giacomozzi. Irwin Monney's late challenge caught a FC Thierachern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irwin Monney helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zelg FC's Irwin Monney got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Jonas Herz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hieronymus Gilardi. Jonas Herz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 97th minute, Jonas Herz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hieronymus Gilardi. The goal made the score 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zelg FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
