The FC Thierachern fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hieronymus Gilardi should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Lázaro Lizbeth notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Thierachern's Hieronymus Gilardi. Hieronymus Gilardi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hieronymus Gilardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Goi in the 15th minute of play. Hieronymus Gilardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximino Goi's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Maximino Goi took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hieronymus Gilardi. Hieronymus Gilardi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Hieronymus Gilardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Lizbeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Lizbeth in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Thierachern's goalkeeper Hieronymus Gilardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Thierachern booed when B68 Toftir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, FC Thierachern's goal looked a bit too open when Arkādijs Žurka came free, but Hieronymus Gilardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beat Leutwyler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Hagenbuch in the 63rd minute of the match. FC Thierachern's Hieronymus Gilardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmie Nyemanting in the 66th minute of play. The FC Thierachern fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when FC Thierachern's Lorenzo Hagenbuch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arkādijs Žurka got free with Hieronymus Gilardi in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hieronymus Gilardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Lizbeth in the 79th minute of play. B68 Toftir's Bengt-Arne Blomberg was substituted for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
