Will Christiaens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Kloots, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrew Kloots in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerom Schockaert couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rijmenam booed when Schelderode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Kloots didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew Kloots to strike the kick off in the second half. Mattias Bormans's late challenge caught a Schelderode's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrew Klootss short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Will Christiaens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vicente Van Aertvinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylven Roels, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 69th minute, Johan Geerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Schelderode's zone, Sylven Roels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Van Aertvinck came out of the goal and Sylven Roels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rijmenam's Alfons Goethuys in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vicente Van Aertvinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylven Roels in the 76th minute of the match. If Andrew Kloots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Kloots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Christiaens having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Schelderode players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
