Ivo Van Menen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy Worteleers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rajmond Kestens hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kristiaan Matthys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Boegaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, R.R.C Etterbeek's Jimmy Worteleers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gillis Huijsmans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ivo Van Menen came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the R.R.C Etterbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Van Menen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Artuur Roulin managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.R.C Etterbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Artuur Roulin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gillis Huijsmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gunther Reijckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diederick Marichal hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Lex Van Hemel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gillis Huijsmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunther Reijckmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gillis Huijsmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gunther Reijckmans during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Jimmy Worteleers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gillis Huijsmans. The goal made the score 2-0. Gunther Reijckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gillis Huijsmans having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Boegaerts to strike the kick off in the second half. Artuur Roulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gillis Huijsmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC Thuin's Gillis Huijsmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Worteleers in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of R.R.C Etterbeek booed when AFC Thuin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diederick Marichal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gillis Huijsmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Worteleers in the 56th minute of the match. Artuur Roulin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gillis Huijsmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Hector Boegaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute, AFC Thuin's Rajmond Kestens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Thuin's zone, Jimmy Worteleers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gillis Huijsmans came out of the goal and Jimmy Worteleers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivo Van Menen's late challenge caught a AFC Thuin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Van Menen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to R.R.C Etterbeek getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ivo Van Menen hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Jimmy Worteleers made a precise shot to the right of Gillis Huijsmans. AFC Thuin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Jimmy Worteleers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gillis Huijsmans having to interfere. In the 95th minute Jimmy Worteleers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gillis Huijsmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. R.R.C Etterbeek had played much better football throughout.
