Olliver Suetens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Olliver Suetens lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Yens Van Huytvenne. Marnix Verheijden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert-Jan Vanpevenaeyge in the 35th minute of play. Marnix Verheijden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Meersman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sassenhout booed when KV Itegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannic De Rijck didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gert-Jan Vanpevenaeyge made a kick off. After some careless play in the KV Itegem defense, Alfred Meersman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marnix Verheijden. The KV Itegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marnix Verheijden should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
