Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) 12 minutes into the game, SK Sint-Niklaas's Nic Switten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luuk Vlimmens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wilderen's Luuk Vlimmens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Wilderen from getting a goal against them. Thomas-Jan Van Hespen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jacques Paaps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacques Paaps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas-Jan Van Hespen in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Harold Van Leemput managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Sint-Niklaas's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold Van Leemput was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luuk Vlimmens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wilderen's goalkeeper Luuk Vlimmens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luuk Vlimmens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Van Leemput in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Harold Van Leemput recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luuk Vlimmens. Harold Van Leemput showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SK Sint-Niklaas's zone, Waud Grootaers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacques Paaps came out of the goal and Waud Grootaers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nic Switten hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Wilderen's Luuk Vlimmens got control of the ball when Nic Switten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joe Anteunis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Jacques Paaps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas-Jan Van Hespen in the 45th minute of the match. Jannick Vercalsteren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Luuk Vlimmens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harold Van Leemput to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jannick Vercalsteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luuk Vlimmens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Thomas-Jan Van Hespen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques Paaps was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Waud Grootaers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waud Grootaers really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Thomas-Jan Van Hespen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Jacques Paaps made a huge save. Thomas-Jan Van Hespen struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jacques Paaps didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wilderen. Jacques Paaps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waud Grootaers, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waud Grootaers in the 71st minute of play forced SK Sint-Niklaas's goalkeeper Jacques Paaps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luuk Vlimmens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenney Declercq in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Jannick Vercalsteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luuk Vlimmens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, SK Sint-Niklaas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nic Switten to maneuver through the defense. Jannick Vercalsteren scored 3-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luuk Vlimmens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lennart Bautmans took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacques Paaps. SK Sint-Niklaas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SK Sint-Niklaas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
