Gust Stroobans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartjan Izemborgh in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Benedict Lemmens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gust Stroobans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartjan Izemborgh, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Black Phantom's goalkeeper Gust Stroobans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvain Demarrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gust Stroobans having to interfere. Charles-Antoine Schoutens struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Michael Loosen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Black Phantom. Gust Stroobans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartjan Izemborgh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes of play, Aalter's Bartjan Izemborgh made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gust Stroobans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvain Demarrez struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gust Stroobans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aalter. Georges-Philippe Ruttens kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dean Steurms during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes SV Black Phantom got a freekick which was hit by Dean Steurms. In the 34th minute of the match Bertrand Hunaerts shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gust Stroobans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 35 minutes of play SV Black Phantom's Dean Steurms was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in SV Black Phantom's zone, Bartjan Izemborgh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gust Stroobans came out of the goal and Bartjan Izemborgh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aalter's Michael Loosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Antoine Schoutens in the 41st minute of play. Gust Stroobans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartjan Izemborgh in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartjan Izemborgh to make the kick off. Bartjan Izemborgh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gust Stroobans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silvain Demarrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SV Black Phantom's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles-Antoine Schoutens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Loosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles-Antoine Schoutens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Loosen having to interfere. Michael Loosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles-Antoine Schoutens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
