Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Staf Van der Veeken made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Marcus Delcomte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Larèn FC's zone, Staf Van der Veeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lode Scheerens came out of the goal and Staf Van der Veeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th match minute, Larèn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Goethuys to maneuver through the defense. When Jan-Pieter Bautmans came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Larèn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Pieter Bautmans couldn't finish the play. Anton Laeremans was a little too slow when Fabrice vrolix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Larèn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Maenhout came free, but Lode Scheerens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Pieter Bautmans was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Larèn FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Jan-Pieter Bautmans took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Anton Laeremans to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Stephen Symons in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Larèn FC's Erwin Keuppens. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Jan-Pieter Bautmans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 40 minutes into the match, Jan-Pieter Bautmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Laeremans. Caput Bovis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Pieter Bautmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Lode Scheerens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Maenhout in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Jan-Pieter Bautmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Larèn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Pieter Bautmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Pieter Bautmans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicolaas Bourgignon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lode Scheerens, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Caput Bovis's zone, Jan-Pieter Bautmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Laeremans came out of the goal and Jan-Pieter Bautmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Pieter Bautmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Anton Laeremans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Pieter Bautmans spun around in front of the goal 61 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Caput Bovis's goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Jan-Pieter Bautmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caput Bovis's Anton Laeremans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caput Bovis's goalkeeper Anton Laeremans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Laeremans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Pieter Bautmans in the 70th minute of the match. If Fabrice vrolix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Pieter Bautmans in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Laeremans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Pieter Bautmans might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Laeremans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Pieter Bautmans ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicanor Idacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Anton Laeremans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Larèn FC's Boudewijn Goethuys nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anton Laeremans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Staf Van der Veeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcus Delcomte hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Luc Verbraecken fired a really elegant long shot, but Lode Scheerens threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Jan-Pieter Bautmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Laeremans having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Pieter Bautmans in the 95th minute of play forced Caput Bovis's goalkeeper Anton Laeremans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Larèn FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
