Yoachim Klopterop was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 4 played minutes KVSK Bertogne got a freekick which was hit by Serge De Bruijn. Marnix Servranckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoachim Klopterop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KFC Varinkshoek's Sten Jansson got a free kick in the 14th minute. KFC Varinkshoek's Luisito Indalecio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Dechamps in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, KFC Varinkshoek's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Dechamps came free, but Luisito Indalecio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Bertogne's zone, Yoachim Klopterop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marnix Servranckx came out of the goal and Yoachim Klopterop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yoachim Klopterop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marnix Servranckx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The KFC Varinkshoek fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when KFC Varinkshoek's Yoachim Klopterop looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luisito Indalecio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when KVSK Bertogne's Bernard Verlinden shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 35th minute, Ward Pulix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, KFC Varinkshoek's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Dechamps came free, but Luisito Indalecio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marnix Servranckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Dechamps stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Sebastien Gebuers sped through KVSK Bertogne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marnix Servranckx. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastien Gebuers in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marnix Servranckx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yoachim Klopterop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind KVSK Bertogne's goalkeeper Marnix Servranckx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yoachim Klopterop hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. With a little luck, KFC Varinkshoek's Luisito Indalecio got control of the ball when Bernard Verlinden tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Yoachim Klopterop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVSK Bertogne's Marnix Servranckx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Bernard Verlinden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Yoachim Klopterop made a precise shot to the right of Marnix Servranckx. KVSK Bertogne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. KFC Varinkshoek walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
