In the 14th match minute, Frankeberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Hemelaer to maneuver through the defense. Raf Francx was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lennie Heywood showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as KB Les Mauves FC's Sergey Katanskiy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raf Francx. That made the score 3-0 after 20 minutes of play. When KB Les Mauves FC's Sergey Katanskiy, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for KB Les Mauves FC. Frankeberg's Raf Francx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Van Haechten in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Frankeberg got a freekick which was hit by Diedrik Verheije. In the 43rd minute Lennie Heywood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raf Francx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
