In the 4th minute Rafael Van Hoof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Poelmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, KVSK Herentals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Bossuyt to maneuver through the defense. Thijs Sulems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Poelmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thijs Sulems in the 12th minute of the match. After 14 minutes, Norbert Van De Wijngaert made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Langdonken's Wout Campens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Langdonken's Steve Poelmans threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thijs Sulems, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Rafael Van Hoof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wout Campens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Van De Wijngaert in the 26th minute of the match. Mathias-Alexander Weggers hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Langdonken were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after KVSK Herentals's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teun Verheijt took the corner. The corner led Langdonken's Teun Verheijt to fire away a dangerous shot which Steve Poelmans despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When KVSK Herentals's Norbert Van De Wijngaert in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Langdonken's goalie prevented a goal. KVSK Herentals's Balthazar Debrouwere came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Wout Campens had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Balthazar Debrouwere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Langdonken's Wout Campens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Van De Wijngaert in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thijs Sulems in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Poelmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 64 minutes into the game, Werner Bossuyt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KVSK Herentals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Langdonken the free kick. Werner Bossuyt hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute of the match Sylven Vloebergh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Poelmans skillfully saved the ball. Rafael Van Hoof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Steve Poelmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunther Goons kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Langdonken booed when KVSK Herentals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Goons didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 minutes, Gunther Goons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KVSK Herentals and the Langdonken players grew even worse after the yellow card. Langdonken's Rafael Van Hoof got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Herentals's zone, Thijs Sulems stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Poelmans came out of the goal and Thijs Sulems tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Van Hoof in the 86th minute of play forced KVSK Herentals's goalkeeper Steve Poelmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Poelmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Van Hoof in the 88th minute of the match. If Thijs Sulems had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
