FC Den Droge Lever's Qwinten Musseeuw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Beets in the 3rd minute of play. Qwinten Musseeuw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thijs De Langhe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qwinten Musseeuw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thijs De Langhe, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Frans Beets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frans Beets struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Qwinten Musseeuw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Kachtem. The supporters of KV Kachtem booed when FC Den Droge Lever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reemy Omblet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frans Beets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in KV Kachtem's zone, Gill Van Herendael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Schockaert came out of the goal and Gill Van Herendael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Thijs De Langhe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Den Droge Lever's Qwinten Musseeuw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Frans Beets put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Qwinten Musseeuw. After a rather tough play, KV Kachtem's Harold Correyns got a free kick in the 34th minute. When FC Den Droge Lever's Gill Van Herendael in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, FC Den Droge Lever's Balthazar Herinckx got a free kick in the 46th minute. 46 minutes into the match, KV Kachtem's Ralf Nijs broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gill Van Herendael stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Gill Van Herendael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Den Droge Lever's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gill Van Herendael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FC Den Droge Lever's Qwinten Musseeuw got control of the ball when Frans Beets tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Wayne Dauwe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Schockaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gill Van Herendael in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to KV Kachtem getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Renzo Debock hit a great ball. Frans Beets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Qwinten Musseeuw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qwinten Musseeuw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Correyns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Schockaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Dauwe in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KV Kachtem's Hubert Sproten got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in KV Kachtem's zone, Siebe Vranken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Schockaert came out of the goal and Siebe Vranken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, FC Den Droge Lever's Wayne Dauwe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Schockaert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded KV Kachtem left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Den Droge Lever.
