Spectators: 7444 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ronald Dalmeijer took the kick off in the first half of the match. RSC Anderlecht's Ronald Dalmeijer got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the game, Kristof Wagemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Anderlecht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sleidinge the free kick. After 7 played minutes RSC Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Wagemans. Ronald Dalmeijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sleidinge's Rein Hemelaers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Dalmeijer in the 26th minute of play. Robbie Van Goethem who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Jarno Van Malcot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Sebastien Versluys in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sleidinge's Habib Rafi. If Robbie Van Goethem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rein Hemelaers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robbie Van Goethem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Ronald Dalmeijer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rein Hemelaers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 60th match minute, Sleidinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Van Goethem to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes RSC Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Rauvoe. When Sleidinge's Robbie Van Goethem in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RSC Anderlecht's goalie prevented a goal. After 68 minutes, Robbie De Jonge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sleidinge and the RSC Anderlecht players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sleidinge getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Robbie De Jonge hit a great ball. Simão Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarno Van Malcot having to make a save. Robbie Van Goethem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Sleidinge's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Dalmeijer came free, but Rein Hemelaers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th play minute Adalberto Nunes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rein Hemelaers. 1-1. After 85 minutes of play, Sleidinge's Robbie Van Goethem made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarno Van Malcot was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 94 minutes, Ronald Dalmeijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Anderlecht's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Dalmeijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sleidinge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
