Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Yannis Kortens took the kick off in the first half of the match. Guust Fraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yannis Kortens went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Yannis Kortens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yannis Kortens took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guust Fraes. Guust Fraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Dries De Metser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guust Fraes having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Mussenborg's goal looked a bit too open when Dries De Metser came free, but Guust Fraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Yannis Kortens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guust Fraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Yannis Kortens took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guust Fraes. Guust Fraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yannis Kortens in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guust Fraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Yannis Kortens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guust Fraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Refugio Edmondson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yannis Kortens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guust Fraes having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Yannis Kortens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guust Fraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sander Vanpevenaeyge to make the kick off. Guust Fraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dries De Metser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannis Kortens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Guust Fraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Refugio Edmondson came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sporting Zaffelare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Refugio Edmondson couldn't finish the play. Mussenborg's Guust Fraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannis Kortens in the 63rd minute of play. Guust Fraes made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Yannis Kortens sent off a good shot on target. After 65 minutes, Natan Dekens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mussenborg and the Sporting Zaffelare players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, Natan Dekens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yannis Kortens in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Refugio Edmondson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Sporting Zaffelare's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Sporting Zaffelare booed when Mussenborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lou Van Meerbeeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Zaffelare's Amaury Vits was substituted for Aristotelis Plato. In the 71st match minute, Mussenborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lou Van Meerbeeck to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Refugio Edmondson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Zaffelare's supporters rose to their feet, but Refugio Edmondson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guust Fraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yannis Kortens in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guust Fraes saved Mussenborg from getting behind. Dries De Metser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guust Fraes having to interfere. Sporting Zaffelare made a substitution. Artem Krohmal replaced Refugio Edmondson. After a defensive mix-up in Mussenborg's zone, Yannis Kortens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guust Fraes came out of the goal and Yannis Kortens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Dries De Metser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guust Fraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Artem Krohmal sped through Mussenborg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guust Fraes. Sporting Zaffelare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artem Krohmal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 96 minutes, Joery Cockx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mussenborg and the Sporting Zaffelare players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Mussenborg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Zaffelare were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
