Dirk Van Hallebeecke was a little too slow when Brend Vounckx got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Mathieu Van Meel made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Bruyninckx during the 51st minute. If Adolf Van Gorp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dirk Van Hallebeecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Walder, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dirk Van Hallebeecke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brend Vounckx in the 84th minute of the match. Ian Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Van Hallebeecke having to interfere.
