AFC Merxplas's Herald Zimmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoff Van Linthaudt in the 13th minute of play. Victor Meijers hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Christoff Van Linthaudt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AFC Merxplas's Herald Zimmer didn't even have to move. With his leg Herald Zimmer managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when CLUB BRUGGE's Dário Costa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the match, AFC Merxplas's goalkeeper Herald Zimmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilian Van Den Bosch. In the 31st minute, Timmy Vanden Bossche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Herald Zimmer managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when CLUB BRUGGE's Dário Costa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Herald Zimmer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dário Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pierre-Alexandre Machiels's late challenge caught a CLUB BRUGGE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sylvain De Putter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jullian van Eycken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herald Zimmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CLUB BRUGGE had played much better football throughout.
