When Bertrand Degryse came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FC Verbroedering Hofstade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertrand Degryse couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertrand Degryse made a kick off. Bertrand Degryse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 58 played minutes, KVSK Mariakerke's Joseph Eggermont shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorne Vranx came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Louis-Philippe Schellekens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertrand Degryse in the 70th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, FC Verbroedering Hofstade's Bertrand Degryse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorne Vranx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mattias Van de Weijer went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the game, Bertrand Degryse lined in a short shot 1-8 behind a frustrated Louis-Philippe Schellekens. The KVSK Mariakerke fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Verbroedering Hofstade were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
