Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 15th minute, Sem van Eycken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Samuel Geldhof managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Aelbeke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Geldhof was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sem van Eycken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Aelbeke's goalkeeper Norbert Coveliers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Samuel Geldhof kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Harry Pelgrims. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 30th minute, Franky Rondas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Aelbeke getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Raf Paelinck hit a great ball. Club Stablo's Dimitry Boegaerts couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Aelbeke. The audience was convinced that Timy Van Dongel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Coveliers was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Norbert Coveliers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurens De Munck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Geldhof to make the kick off. Samuel Geldhof struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Harry Pelgrims didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Aelbeke. Norbert Coveliers made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Laurens De Munck sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurens De Munck got free with Norbert Coveliers in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michel Lemmens hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Laurens De Munck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Norbert Coveliers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sem van Eycken came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the SC Aelbeke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sem van Eycken couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Sem van Eycken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Harry Pelgrims was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Timy Van Dongel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Pelgrims showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sem van Eycken in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Aelbeke had won after a very even match.
