In the 26th minute Jorg Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Isemborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hans Verhagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Van Gestel came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Corona's Terry Van Camp. But to his dismay, Terry Van Camp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathijs Teunens to strike the kick off in the second half. Terry Van Camp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Van Gestel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Van Camp in the 57th minute of the match. Mathijs Teunens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Fred Van Gestel made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Terry Van Camp fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathijs Teunens got free with Fred Van Gestel in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the game, Troizen Patrianakos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Fred Van Gestel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Corona's Jerome de Neuyter was substituted for Giles Eggers. Jerome de Neuyter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Van Gestel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. FC Blaty's Niel Van Impe suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. Troizen Patrianakos charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Troizen Patrianakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Troizen Patrianakos kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over FC Corona could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Blaty throughout the match.
