Pieter-Maarten Loosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Mestdagh having to interfere. Cornelis Theunis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Benny Mestdagh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Georges-Philippe Sliepers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelis Theunis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pieter-Maarten Loosen scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benny Mestdagh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornelis Theunis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 16th minute Charly Bastiaens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Mestdagh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Tom De Neuter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Bilzen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Boomerang the free kick. In the 17th match minute, SC Bilzen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom De Neuter to maneuver through the defense. Benny Mestdagh stood somewhat misplaced when Cornelis Theunis came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bilzen's goalkeeper Benny Mestdagh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cornelis Theunis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benny Mestdagh came out and tried to block the shot, but Cornelis Theunis slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, SC Bilzen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul-Louis Mallaerts to maneuver through the defense. If Tony Cockx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 51st minute, Richy Sterkx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SC Bilzen defense, Cornelis Theunis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benny Mestdagh. The SC Bilzen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benny Mestdagh should have stopped the shot. Inácio de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Depauw in the 62nd minute of play. SC Bilzen's Benny Mestdagh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charly Bastiaens in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bilzen's goalkeeper Benny Mestdagh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Jeremey Koppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernand Steurms came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Inácio de Sena could save by the left post. In the 72nd minute, Pieter-Maarten Loosen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cornelis Theunis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Cornelis Theunis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Benny Mestdagh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Charly Bastiaens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Vorster hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Benny Mestdagh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelis Theunis's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Boomerang fully deserved thier win.
