Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lorenzo Engels kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rens Maerschalk in the 4th minute of play forced KAA Sneppelaar's goalkeeper Garry Vercauteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Van Cauwenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenz Vrijdag's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the game, KAA Sneppelaar's Lorenz Vrijdag nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tristan Van Cauwenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Garry Vercauteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rens Maerschalk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garry Vercauteren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rens Maerschalk in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Lorenzo Engels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Lorenz Vrijdag ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tristan Van Cauwenberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. KAA Sneppelaar's Garry Vercauteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanniek De Mees in the 30th minute of play. Garry Vercauteren made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Dominik Rix sent off a good shot on target. If Lorenz Vrijdag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Rix struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Garry Vercauteren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Brakel. After 45 played minutes KAA Sneppelaar got a freekick which was hit by Sebbe Van Arschot. After the first half KAA Sneppelaar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rens Maerschalk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Garry Vercauteren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rens Maerschalk, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lorenzo Engels struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tristan Van Cauwenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Sneppelaar. Dominik Rix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Garry Vercauteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Sneppelaar's zone, Dominik Rix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garry Vercauteren came out of the goal and Dominik Rix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, RSC Brakel's Dominik Rix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garry Vercauteren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robben Van Bouschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rens Maerschalk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominik Rix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garry Vercauteren having to interfere. Garry Vercauteren came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by RSC Brakel's Rens Maerschalk. But to his dismay, Rens Maerschalk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KAA Sneppelaar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
